About the Layout

If you're thinking "What the hell is this?" then let me tell I agree with you. This was a completely random layout. But I like it all the more because of that. I didn't really spend tons of time on it, and somehow the end result is better than something I would spend a lot of time on. The layout has the shape of a cross, which is original, and would you look at that, it also features a cross (a coincidence? I don't think so...) I just took the image from my old guestbook and gave it a revamp. How pink got in there is beyond me...O.o Though I like the pink and green scheme, in the end. One of the few times I'll ever say I like pink.

And the idea of the butterflies pinned to the cross was very grotesque and disturbing (typical Angel Sanctuary!), but appealed to me. I remember way back when I made my guestbook image, I had to clone a lot of butterflies to cover the cross. But this time I added those dodged, unpinned butterflies trying to get free. And look, one's almost there...(don't you like that effect? It looks like it's trying to escape plastic wrap.)

If you want to know what the text in the background says (and you might, if you're a deeply religious type and downloading this would be blasphemy or something), I made it up. When you want to fly away (and all hope is gone), you'll realize you can't (because you're chained to faith). And then, of course, the border reads, "In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." Did I get that right? I think that's how it goes...Oh, and random trivia: this was the cross I used for Setsuna's demon wings in Wallpaper 3. ^~
